|
On September 30, 2006, the provisions of the Combat Methamphetamine Epidemic Act of 2005 (CMEA)
regulating retail over-the-counter
sales of ephedrine, pseudoephedrine and phenylpropanolamine products by
regulated sellers went into effect. Retail provisions of the CMEA include
daily and monthly sales/purchase limits, placement of product out of direct
customer access, sales logbooks, customer identification, employee training,
and self certification of regulated sellers.
Regulated sellers must be
self-certified before selling thers products
and must comply with all provision of the CMEA. DEA provides comprehensive
resources, detailed training, and self-certification instructions regarding
